The Alfonso

Emilie Floege

Emilie Floege was a Viennese dressmaker and close friend of renowned Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. Floege is known for her airy and loose-fitting dresses which are said to have been the inspiration for the garments that Klimt's models wear in his paintings. She was not only a forward-thinking creator, designing loose dresses in times of corsets and bustles, but also a clever business woman, running her own dressmaking atelier together with her two sisters.

Swiss Cotton

For the Alfonso dress, we use the beautiful Supralux cotton from Alumo which is a Swiss mill whose history traces back as far as 1918. Alumo is specialised in the finest cotton fabrics for shirts and have continually developed their expertise.

Hidden Features

The Alfonso dress does not only feature hidden pockets in the side seam, but also an adjustable cuff which allows for the width of the sleeves to be altered simply by using one of the three buttons – designed to ensure the perfect fit.

Effortlessly loose-fitting cotton dress with adjustable stand collar, puffy sleeves and side pockets. Button closure in the back. The cuffs feature three buttons which allow the sleeve to be fitted perfectly. This garment features buttons from animal sources.
