The Alfonso
Emilie Floege
Emilie Floege was a Viennese dressmaker and close friend of renowned Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. Floege is known for her airy and loose-fitting dresses which are said to have been the inspiration for the garments that Klimt's models wear in his paintings. She was not only a forward-thinking creator, designing loose dresses in times of corsets and bustles, but also a clever business woman, running her own dressmaking atelier together with her two sisters.
